Tobias in Tanzania

Mambo everybody,

I finally got my own blog account. It was difficult to get it to work but now it's fixed!

My fellow companions have already typed quite a lot of what's going on here so I think I'll keep this one short.

After a morning of visiting a local primary school and an afternoon full of theory about the dramatic principles of film making yesterday, we thought we should give the students something to make. The assignment they're now doing is "filming a making proces" (I don't know if that is correct English but they understood it). We divided the group in groups of four and they all came up with very different ideas. They are going to use this whole afternoon to film and I think we will need another day to edit. 

Tomorrow we'll start, like every morning, with a discussion about poverty and then head for a local Library. In the afternoon some of the most famous rappers of Tanzania will come to the Kilimanjaro Film Institute and we will, along with the students, film a "shout out" for EA TV. That means it will be shown all over East Africa! Pretty Exciting!
