Mambo! Poa
So here is my first blog. As you can read below we visited a primary school yesterday. This was a very heavy experience for us. You see this kind of things every day on television but this was real. When we arrived with the bus there were 700 children looking at us like we were from a different planet. A teacher of the primary school told us many things about the problems of the school. They don't have enough money to buy books. So now they have to share 1 book with 4 pupils. That's very difficult. When we were there I felt very guilty about all the chances that we get in Europe.
All the children sang for us, it was very impressive.
When we were back at school we gave the students a lesson about the dramatic model of hollywood. They enjoyed it, because they never looked to a movie another way. They were so excited that they understood a lot more than before. It was really an eye opener.
Today we gave them an assignment to film a 'making process'. A couple of days ago we showed them a movie from Evelyne. She filmed a girl who is preparing a chicken. They were laughing because they know how to prepare and kill a chicken, and we dutch people, we don't.
Joep gave them a song. With the song they have to invent a small movie.
Now I have to go because I am going to help them with the assignment.
