Selecting music for movies

Hello everybody!

Today I started with a class about how to select music for film. I gave the students a couple of "rules" which they can use when they select music for a fiction or documentary. For instance: Do not use very melodic music while there is dialogue. After my presentation, with demonstrations of all the rules, I gave the students an assignment. They had to select music for fragments of 4 different movies. Unfortunately Final Cut Pro (the video program) wasn't very cooperative today so the assignment had a little delay. Tomorrow I'll repeat my class for the group. During my stay I realized that it is very good to repeat your lesson at least once!
After the class I'll present the students assignment from today....

Bye,

Joep
