Discussions and excursions

Mambo!

Because of internet problems yesterday i couldn't post a new blog. So here it is!
Yesterday we start our day with a discussion clas about poverty and education. We learnt how education has been organized now a days, here in Tanzania. There is a real difference between government schools and private schools. Most of the Tanzanian children are depending on governments schools and these are schools without the facilities of good classrooms, books and financial problems. The private school has got more amounts of money and better education. So graduated teachers are mostly going to private schools and non graduated teachers are teaching at government schools(!!)
We visited one of the government schools and talked with the head master. It was a really impressing excursion, we really felt to do something about it.

Today I hope to get the assignment of Cyprian, a Tanzanian musician. Maybe we will make a documentary of his life...

Stay tuned and please give us comments below!

Yeah! I can imagine how it feels to se these beautiful, intelligent and talented kids going through educational stumbling blocks over and over just for their future success, which then in most cases it is not fully guaranteed. This was rather a shocking flash for more or less everyone who visited the Primary School.

Besides all challenges confronting these kids, it is so impressive to see how energetic and cooperative Teachers and Parents striving to take things off the ground. "With great guts and determinations they will for sure improve the learning environments for these kids in a near future"

The school brass band made me almost becoming reluctant to leave the school :)
It was indeed an immersion educational excursion for everyone!

and everybody can tell you what the situation is abroad but you have to see and feel it yourself and that's what you are doing. An extra dimension in your study of life , isn't it nice ?.
